چکیده
approached with care, and either neovascularization across the flap should be confirmed or the main vascular pedicle should be left intact. We report a case of the total loss of a flap after a secondary operation was performed 18 months after successful reconstruction using a latissimus dorsi muscle flap. There is controversy concerning flap neovascularization, and many factors can compromise flap vascularity including the flap itself, patient comorbidities, and the wound condition. Given these risks, additional procedures affecting the flap should be performed with considerable care, with attention paid to flap vascularity.

MRI of intraneural perineurioma of the brachial plexus
Intraneural perineurioma is an uncommon benign tumor of the perineurium of peripheral nerve sheaths occurring primarily in adolescents or young adults. MRI is a valuable tool in suggesting this diagnosis and in surgical planning. We report an 18-year old female with progressive right-hand weakness, numbness, and severe atrophic changes of the hand secondary to an intraneural perineurioma involv...
متن کاملPaper: A Case Report of a Rare Variation in Arising Branches of Brachial Artery
Variations in the arterial pattern of the upper limb are abundant and diverse and have been observed frequently either in cadaver dissection or in clinical practice and reports. In the most of these reports, radial or ulnar arteries were commonly involved, which can be damaged during surgical procedures. This report presents a case of a rare variation in arising branches of brachial artery. Dur...

BACKGROUND Intraneural perineurioma or reticular perineurioma, which is 1 variant of extraneural perineurioma, has been rarely reported in the head and neck region. METHODS We report a case of a 52-year-old woman who wasseen with a swelling in the neck. A mass was found located on the medial aspect of the left submandibular gland and was palpated with a sponge-like texture. The mass was seen ...
متن کاملAnatomic Variations of Brachial Plexus: A Cadaveric Study
Introduction: The brachial plexus is responsible for the innervation to the upper limb and some parts of the thorax. Variations in the branching of the brachial plexus are common and have been reported in 65.3% of the population. The variations (Atypical communication) of brachial plexus have significant clinical and surgical importance. Methods: In this study 10 upper limbs which belonged...

Introduction: The phenomenon of neglected foreign bodies is a significant cause of morbidity in soft tissue injuries and may present to dermatologists as delayed wound healing, localized cellulitis and inflammation, abscess formation, or foreign body sensation. Localization and removal of neglected soft tissue foreign bodies (STFBs) is complex due to possible inflammation, indurations, granulat...
